Medumio

Medumio is a German health education platform that publishes online summits, masterclasses, guides, and a large video library on health-related topics. The Medumio Akademie is a place for health knowledge, expert interviews, and online events, with thousands of video-based learning materials available through its platform.

I worked on subtitles for medical learning videos used in the Medumio Akademie. I created the German subtitles, checked the content for factual accuracy, and then translated the material into English.

A big part of the work was paying close attention to medical wording. Subtitles leave very little room for vague phrasing, so I had to be precise with terminology in both languages and keep the meaning intact from one version to the next. That applied to single terms, but also to longer explanations and the way medical ideas were phrased in context.
