iTranslate is one of the top 3 leading translation apps on the App Store, even earning the prestigious Apple Design Award. I led the SEO content team, serving as the main editor and strategist to boost the brand’s organic traffic.

Objectives

Despite iTranslate's top ranking in app stores, its web presence suffered from low visibility in search results, leading to minimal organic traffic. Competing with giants like Google’s built-in translation tool, we aimed to establish iTranslate as a valuable resource for language learners and enthusiasts through the iTranslate blog.

Our goals included:

  • Competing with online translation and dictionary tools via iTranslate’s online dictionary and dynamic translation tool to attract users searching for translations and word meanings.

  • Redesigning the iTranslate blog, moving it to a subfolder on the main domain, increasing content output, updating old articles, identifying keyword gaps and industry trends, refining designs, and implementing a strategic link management system.

Key Results

Working on iTranslate’s SEO and content strategy was incredibly rewarding, as our efforts delivered impressive results:

  • Within the first six months, we boosted our domain authority by 10%.

  • We ramped up our content output by six times, significantly increasing from just a few pieces per month to a much more robust and efficient schedule.
